Address Update

  • If you choose Update Address via Address Proof, you will need to enter your new address details and upload a scanned copy of a valid address proof document. You can also use the camera icon to capture the document image. After entering and verifying the details, tap on Submit Update Request.



  • If you choose Update Address via Secret Code, you will need to enter the secret code that you received from the verifier in the address validation letter. The verifier is a person who is willing to let you use their address as proof. You can request for an address validation letter from the verifier using the Request for Address Validation Letter service, which we will discuss later. After entering and verifying the secret code, tap on Submit Update Request.



  • In both cases, you will receive an update request number (URN), which you can use to check the status of your address update request.



Download offline eKYC




This service allows you to download your eKYC data in XML format and share it securely with service providers. To use this service, follow these steps:


  • Tap on Download offline eKYC on the Main Service Dashboard.



  • Enter your password and tap on Proceed.



  • You will see a screen with your eKYC data in XML format. You can also see a share code, which is a 4-digit alphanumeric code that you can use to protect your eKYC data while sharing it with others.



  • Tap on Download to save your eKYC data in XML format in your device. You can also tap on Share to share your eKYC data with service providers via email, WhatsApp, Bluetooth or other apps.



  • When you share your eKYC data, you will need to provide the share code to the service provider, who can then use it to decrypt and verify your eKYC data.



Show or Scan QR Code




This service allows you to show or scan your Aadhaar QR code for verification purposes. To use this service, follow these steps:


  • Tap on Show or Scan QR Code on the Main Service Dashboard.



  • Enter your password and tap on Proceed.

Verify mail/email




This service allows you to verify your registered email or mobile number online. To use this service, follow these steps:

  • You will receive an OTP on your email or mobile number. Enter the OTP and tap on Verify OTP.

Retrieve UID/EID




This service allows you to retrieve your lost or forgotten Aadhaar number or enrolment ID online. To use this service, follow these steps:


  • Tap on Retrieve UID/EID on the Main Service Dashboard.



  • Select whether you want to retrieve your Aadhaar number (UID) or your enrolment ID (EID) and tap on Send OTP.

My Aadhaar




The My Aadhaar section is a personalized section for the Aadhaar holder, where you can access the following services:


Aadhaar Locking/Unlocking




This service allows you to lock or unlock your Aadhaar number or biometrics for security reasons. To use this service, follow these steps:


  • Tap on Aadhaar Locking/Unlocking on the My Aadhaar section.



  • Enter your password and tap on Proceed.



  • You will see two options: Lock/Unlock Aadhaar Number and Lock/Unlock Biometrics. Choose the option that suits your situation.



  • If you choose Lock/Unlock Aadhaar Number, you will need to enter your VID or virtual ID, which is a 16-digit temporary code that you can generate online.
